Labyrinth

Vera Podell

No one can hear the plead

And no one can hear the rain

When blocks of stone

Absorb the sound

Cold drops are smashing on the tiles

But not as cold as your own blood

Trace of human presence is

Long gone

No matter how hard you try

You cannot find the Minotaur

In

This labyrinth

'Cause that is you

And you are alone.
