Dogs that bark in the afternoon

Hugh

Adults sit on blankets
Children run around
Mottled sunlight in green spaces
First summer picnic
Skateboarders skate
Trees blossom
Memories of younger summers
Early summer thunderstorms
People running for cover
Sirens call to emergency
Hospitals tend the sick
Hospices give palliative care
Life running on
Rising and falling
Workers work
Shops opened for business
Rushed assistants
Open skies
Vapour Trails
Dogs bark in the afternoon
Cats Sleep

A slice of life. So much variety. While we laze in the park in summer heat, after a picnic, so much going on elsewhere. Meanwhile cats sleep and dogs bark. Plenty of imagery here Hugh. Made me reflect on summers past. I enjoyed my visit.

Thoroughly expressed the realities of life.
      "Memories of younger summers

Thank you Meera, it was just one of those quick poems, where one thing leads to another on a lovely summers day
