Goodbye Mister

zhangyuyouyu

Mr Good

Promised me a happy life with him

But flipped the table once I said "I do"

I begin to lose myself in all the abuse

Every slap. Every bruise. Every tear.

Yet I held on for our sons

My sons are my everything

When I realised you barely even cared

Bringing the minimum to the table

When you could have offered so much more

I am a mother

But I am also my mother's daughter

The day she came to take us away

Was the day "I do" was nullified

My sons may still bear your surname

You can try to lure them in and keep them away

Yet it is my legacy that lives on through them

When once they grow older

I know they would understand

Mr Good For Nothing

Promised me everything

So I expected something

But now I'm leaving you with not a single thing
