The Pit Inside Me

justamerewoman

The pit inside me

first formed by your word,

only deepens with your shovel

digging into my soul.

The pain I feel

can't be expressed,

It fails to be uprisen from the void within me.

Stop, take the it out, I beg of you

Why pour cement,

When you'll soon spark its destruction?

Im left here, open and ready

The gaping hole only lusts to be refilled

Laid in the road, tires pass, metal clacks

For the drivers don’t know the harm that awaits them

As they drive with full speed,

And leave mangled and frail

Why they must suffer, it’s only fair

As you once did to me,

I only carry out the same

With the pit inside of me.
