Poet Bee

Clandestine sin

doesn't exist!

God knows

when I'm

below His standards

Now, with irony,

I sit amongst sinners

in a holy church

where I pray

that The Word

will excavate my sins.

I loathe large crowds,

so I pray that I,

the newcomer,

will fit in well

with these church veterans.

Are they watching me

with sympathy or with judgment?

Well, in some churches, it does not mean they are all believers.
It's like - just because I'm in the garage, it does not mean to say I'm a car!
Hopefully they will accept you. If not, they're not worth knowing.

Thank you for the comment. I've been to churches with negative atmospheres and it was discouraging. I'm at a better church now.
