Without love in your heart
A lonely cold place
Constantly searching
An unfulfilled look on your face
A void humans must fill
To feel that emotion
The pull within your heart
A sense of devotion
Deep within your heart
That ever-burning fire
Your inner furnace of love
For another heart you desire
For in absence of love
A life loses the will to live
So, you keep searching
An inner wealth to give
And when that day comes
It’ll consume you like a tidal wave
Fill your empty heart to full
Peg the needle of your fuel gage
The loveometer now through the roof
The smile upon your face
Wide as the Grand Canyon
Certainly, a euphoric place

I've managed a love-trout relationship with KP for years! lol.
And look at you now. ๐น๐
So true AP. A life without love in your heart would be a meaningless one. A mature man once told me he had never been in love. I pitied him for what he has missed out on. I have so much love in my life, I feel blessed. I enjoyed your poem. A good write.
Never been in love, now that's sad. Imagine his surprise the day he does fall in love. Sooner or later love comes to all. ๐๐น Thanks Cassie.
That would be a lovely thing for him;) You know AP, I donโt think itโs going to happen. Heโs a bit long in the tooth and a cynical wotsit:))
Thank you for the rose ๐ Nearly forgot my manners ๐
Well, I can see how he may not find someone to love him in his current state, but one day he'll see someone and BOOM! he's in love. And you're welcome for the rose (s). ๐น ๐
Such true words AP, living without love is awful.
Andy
I tried it once when I was 9, I was miserable. Then on the first day in school I saw an Angel in the front row seat. And I've never been the same. ๐นThanks Andy. ๐๐
Beautiful dear A.P ๐น
Thank you Teddy. ๐
AP; a beautiful truth. Each of us deserves to be loved. Weโre not meant to do this alone.
Thanks for the read and comment/compliment GenXer. ๐๐
