Retching Love

justamerewoman

Here I am, knelt down

Retching for an eternal love

Which doesn’t fail to exist,

In my mist,

It passes by me ever so slightly

Everyone else’s pushing them away

For they can barely stand

I watch them as they wisp away and float

While I watch, stagnant.

The breeze, while thrilling to them,

Chills my body.

Lips yearning to be kissed lay chilled and peeling

With each layer of skin goes my joy,

My patience, for the warmth that soon awaits me

Goes blind to my eyes as they burn looking side to side

At the couples beside

Who cross the line to the other side

While I’m behind

Retching for an eternal love.
