My Moon

moon_lover

My moon came back to me yesterday,

It sparked its dazzling light in my eyes,

And into my heart.

My moon came back to me yesterday,

It resided back in my heart,

And filled all the hollow vessels.

My moon came back to me yesterday,

It hushed all the chaos,

And lulled me into its light.

My moon came back to me yesterday,

It gazed back at me,

And brought my soul back to life.

My moon stands out,

from the rest of the stars and galaxies

Breathing me back to life.

It never occurred to me,

a simple gaze into my eyes

turned me into a drunken poet.

Who transformed a lover,

Into a moon

That belongs only to me.
