I’ve always hated the suburban nights
Where it’s not light enough to guide you
But not dark enough to see the stars
Where you’re stuck
In the quaint family life
And that dim darkness
I want to see the universe
Or I want to see the sidewalk in front of me
But I see the kitchen lights of my family home
And nothing else
