HOW FAR?

Qurrathul Ain

I agree, I'm stubborn

But how long,

How far should I allow people to step on me?

How far can patience last?

How long should I live just for others?

And what is the point?

No matter how hard I try,

I'll never be appreciated, NEVER,

It'll never be enough,

I'll never be enough.

So let me give up,

Not on myself,

Let me give up trying to please people around me and do as they like.

Self realization is an amazing thing. When you can allow the peripheral to melt away, and stand alone, you meet a person who has always been there, just waiting to be free. You have phrased this so well my friend, and I can relate.

Yes, and this person keeps fading with every time we choose to ignore ourself, and thank you!

so true - we try to please others, and ignore our own self in the process. it's good you have realized your worth - and that it's not worth living for others.
      well done
