MELTING SOULS, FROZEN FATE

@merci

I longed for your embrace, a soft, warm hug,

Instead, your icy should is all I got,

I yearned to see your head inclined to mine,

To witness your smile radiating my soul.

I craved for our souls entwining with an unbreakable bond,

Where separation dared not tread, nor respond.

Yet fate, unkind, cast its cruel decree,

Leaving us with naught but tears and memory.
