WAR CRIME

nephilim56

Bodies hang from lamp posts
While soldiers sit below
Drinking wine from the vineyards
They never bought or helped to grow.

Those who wait their turn
The farmers, clerks and boys
Watch the ropes swirling
Like lifeless bobbing toys.

We are running out of rope
A nineteen years old declares
Under the french summer sun
Amidst the deathly stares.
