I Will Die For My Art

mtrotter1

Authentically the tulips grow in the garden

I am forever the little princess dancing on paper

For my whole life I've been filled with words

And I pour with such passion

Therefore I am dancing in my feelings

Oh what an elegant night to be alive

Such poetry glances through the peak of lenses

It travels in my heart

And flows through my veins

As I walk the green mile as a savage,

A savage beast that bites no one

For I am tender at heart

Yet hilarious with my remorse,

How big am I to capture such grace?

God dance with me in the heavens above

For I feel such love

My harness carries me through the midst of storms

Put a coat on me

And I shall be warm...

Behold the dancing roses that grasp the tulips

With such wholehearted understanding and truth

For what is poetry without the wraths of youth?

I shall dance with my love

With the power of the pen

And I will die for my art essentially

I will write a thousand words in my confession

For my confession is youth;

And to Sylvia Plath, I would love to confess

That my heart is dark in so many ways

And I have thought about dying on the fritz

But you have changed my life for the better

As I write these songs, daring to be bold

I hold my love in the air

Hoping for someone to save me--

For God is a person through my soul

And these words that I give

Bleed harshly and tenderly

Through the body of my eyes, I bring faith

For the vision is obscure through beauty

And my beauty is relentless

Throughout this journey

For my heart knows my personal traits

And I am a dead poet

That has risen from the grave

And I dare to be brave.
