My depression

lactose

My depression, a weight I bear,

A darkness that's always there.

I hate these scenarios , this heavy load,

A never-ending, twisted road.

It steals my joy, my peace, my light,

A never-ending, endless fight.

But still, I rise, I push on through,

Searching for a brighter hue.

Though difficult, I won't give in,

This battle, I am sure to win.

For even in the darkest night,

I'll find a way to see the light.

My comments on the poem "My depression” by lactose
Your poem is a sad and touching one. Clearly you are struggling against many odds. Unfortunately, depression is something that one fights mostly alone. The illness keeps pushing down. However, one can see that you have resolve to fight it out. Keep up this spirit !... Best wishes from a fellow poet. Soman Ragavan. 22 March, 2024.
