glimmer of hope

lactose

In the darkness, my depression tries to win,

But in my heart, a glimmer of hope gleams.

It's a battle I fight every day,

A struggle that never truly goes away.

Clouds of sadness hang heavy in the air,

But I refuse to let them engulf me in despair.

I'll keep fighting, pushing through the pain,

Knowing that sunshine follows every rain.

So though my depression may try to win,

I'll rise above it, let my light within.

For the darkness cannot hold me tight,

I'll keep on fighting, embracing the light.
