Tune: St Theodulph
('All glory, laud, and honour')
Luke 19 v.28-40 parts
*********
Chorus
Our King, He rides a donkey
Enters triumphantly
Into Jerusalem, see
In lowly majesty
He sent two disciples, they
Found a donkey that day
At His word, owner released
Creature to King of Peace - Chorus
Not riding on a war-horse
But meekly on His course
Did ride, crowd palm branches waved
Their garments His way paved - Chorus
And then upon arrival
At Jerusalem all
Rejoiced, praised God, exulting
For Christ's good works, each thing - Chorus
Said, Blessed be the King, comes He
In the Lord's name, so be
Peace in heaven, and glory
In the highest now be - Chorus
Some Pharisees they displeased
At this praise, wished it ceased
But Jesus said, Without doubt
If this stops, stones cry out - Chorus
