STATUE

nephilim56

The idle angel
Feet upon
The marble headstone
In summer sun.

Frozen, tainted
Age and moss
Seems oblivious
To the loss.

Of beauty once
Which glowed at dawn
The twisting path
Amidst the lawn.

Carpet like
To cottage leads
Autumn gale
And falling leaves.
