Hardest thing to do

As I look into my children's eyes

The tears are rolling down my face

I know what I have to do 

However, it is the hardest thing

I've ever had to do in my life 

I got to let you go

Not because you weren't loved

That wasn't the case

It's all the love that I have for you 

Is the reason why I'm doing this 

Times got really hard

Where I couldn't give you what you deserved

Knowing in my heart

This is the right thing to do 

Even though it is tearing me apart

Letting you go wasn't a choice I made easily

I looked deep into my heart for my guidance

Then I knew what I had to do 

Don't ever think that you weren't loved
