the feeling that never dies

Teh Tawar

I woke up to a dark sky
and left a deep sleep,
my footsteps forced their way to that place
in the steps a sad song began to come
while riding with the sad story,

My steps disappeared like a trail that greeted the waves.
my vision faded like an erased pencil stroke.

I heard laughter,
the laughter I once waited for every week
but this time it's a laugh that must be forgotten.

Her face slowly appeared...

Her laughter and smile became real...

My longing went wild for her...

while in the midst of it, disappointment ruled my heart,

My lost steps began to return, my faded vision
became clear but faded again because the tear ducts
began to collapse quickly,

my steps are no longer slow,
my throat feels hot and stinging
my lungs are filled with sadness
making my running hard to stop.

In running, I realized that I find it hard to die
In running, I realized that my taste is hard to die
In running, I realized that...

I will run, until I die.
