Pompeii

Sad girl

I am solidified

As if I died in the city of pompeii
Covered in layers of ash
Buried alive...

what a hauntingly beautiful way to die

To be frozen in time for all eternity
To become a living sculpture of misery

For then I would be trapped

between hell & heaven
Into the unknown

I wonder...

Maybe my lover dwells there

somewhere among

the ghosts and shadows
