Though many with this would surely disagree

The human world is ruled by ordinary people is how it seems to me

Though many look up to them as extraordinary

Those admired by the majority create poverty

In a world where one person's loss to another is a gain

For a few big winners there are many losers as a truism remain

The majority of the environmental damage to the world is created by the materially greedy wealthy few

And this is not saying in any way anything that is new

Due to the majority of the financially wealthy people the earth that does feed us is being abused every day

And sadly for those who love nature and the earth never a loud hooray

Of progress they are seen by many as standing in the way

And this seems a sad thing for to have to say

The greed of the admired ordinary in the disappearance of wild born species a huge part does play

And this seems a huge price for humanity to pay.
