Untitled

joe-da

You are my one true lodestar.

My beacon in the dark.

Igniting me, fuelling me, freeing me;

Providing me with that “spark”.

You’re broken, bereft and spent;

Yet never defeated, never “done”.

Your ghosts they seek to haunt you,

But from them you refuse to run.

If I was just one tenth of you,

Immeasurable power I would yield.

Your strength, tenacity, your fortitude;

Provides me with a bield.
