Insecurities

weltschmerz

On days like these I think I might

Become a lacewing and take flight

I wouldn't hurt so frightfully

From how I think people see me

A villain who deceives with wings

Talks waterfalls of useless things

Spills over glasses and fine china

No pair of ears is enough for her

Inflammatory fifth wheel wannabe

Heartbroken self-sufficient crybaby

Altruistic vengeful record-keeper

Naive all-creatures-loving daydreamer

I must know

Does my desire to be kind

Translate beyond

My scattered mind?
