Whispers of the Heart

Koshish

Why do I?" you ask,

As if you want a whole paragraph.

Do you ever ask why the river flows,

And why time never slows?

Do you? I ask,

For love isn't a simple task.

You ask? But why me?

For I know not why it's you.

Is it your eyes that draw me,

Or is it her simple heart?

Why do I? I ask,

Even I know not.

I can't explain why,

Why these feelings surge,

Why I like to hear your voice,

Why I only think about you.

I only know that for you I can fly.

I only know that, even in another life,

I would still fall for you,

But wouldn't be able to answer why.
