Hide

Mason Vollman

I wish I could hide.

Just hide all alone,

I wish I could hide, and not be known.

I wish I could hide above all realization,

I wish I could fly above all civilization.

I wish people would know, that I'm not like them.

I wish people will see that not everybody wins.

I wish people would just accept me for who I am.

because not all talents tend to abide.

Oh how I wish I could just hide.

I have felt that way before and they say that what makes a poem, relevant is whether the reader can identify with it. If so this one makes it. Well done

Everyone feels this from time to time. It's amazing how eloquently you were able to pack so much into something that on the surface looks simple and in reality it's anything but. Two thumbs way up for this one.
