Chammak Challo.

The learning journey went on.

Collected considerable number of selfies- different glance.

From time to time the echo of Damien heard from far away.

Rest in peace.

Short phone call to the London’s office- insurance company now.

Afro British employee, she recognized me at once:

‘’you were kind, patient, smart, enjoy your new journey’’. End of the call.

Meetings regarding VPN deployment.

Meetings regarding Microsoft Office 365, becoming deep as the Pacific Ocean.

Meetings I was not invited to. Pointless. Read the email and study.

Microsoft Teams started being spread and gently delivered to the clients’ workstations and laptops.

More or less ingredients on top. As pizza Deliveroo, depending on the users’ access granted.

Be prepared.

Be ready

Users’ Home Office adventure.

Rough journey to be accomplished. Still in the office myself.

Other conversations went on the background: Office kitchen degradation, uneven floor.

That was not our job!

Happy new leap year to all!

Happy Carnival!

Internal audits.

Meeting with my Indian manager: rescue will be installed on your personal device, chat configuration

meant to communicate and call the end users,

no longer Service Now, another software will be used instead, Cloud based.

Microsoft edge MUST be used, no Google Chrome.

go home, dear S, wear the mask as much as possible’’!

End of the meeting!

Installed and tested the needful- my manager connected remotely to my laptop.

Do the needful!

You should be ready, if not ask for help.

Less and less phone calls

TEAMS.

Same scenario- issues incidents, with a slightly difference, the amount of work load,

Exponential. Increased dramatically.

USA 50% OF WORK LOAD.

Enjoy the climbing and the year ahead.

On the other side of the river meanwhile: meditation messages, mindfulness, and less Indian co-workers connected, and focused.

Despite all that I was ‘’happy’ ’of my job.

9 hours in a row. No lunch. Miserable pay.

My performance increased as stated by internal audits.

The office workstations had been disconnected, packed, reassembled.

Location closed for good.

No need, no sense, bad management.

An odd event though started happening to me while connecting remotely to users ‘devices:

Feeling cold, hands sweating, trembling. A deep breath to tidy up my thoughts.

Months went on.

The German was sacked or left perhaps!?

One morning a call from my former Portuguese colleague:

‘’What is going on in India? Please call them, call the TL you are the only one who can deal with them’’! He was mad.

3 demo employees had been downloaded, saw their names, but end users did not know them.

Different location? Perhaps.

My Portuguese colleague vanished from the connection as well.

One day last Microsoft Teams invitation, with my browser I connected

and, strange enough participated to their meeting.

HR communication from India: end of task allocation and incident allocation.

S ‘’how are you’’?

We are all fine, except one or 2 who had Covid.

Beautiful Spring flowers, too much pollen in the air.

My manager: ‘’S you will have access to the company’s’ inbox for 60 days more until further notice’’.

Not the clients’ one.

3 days later received a nice recognition from the IT manager, the client, EMEA region,

watching backstage- incognito. The reference.

No complaints

No issues

No conflicts

Overall delighted.

A virtual hug.

That night I could not sleep.
