Grandpa Lou didn’t have to think twice about taking care of Cade. Cade lost his mom when he was little; he was in the second grade. Jane was a loving mother with a heart as pure as gold; a cancer diagnosis stole her life; it turned Cade somewhat cold. Lou knew the job he had ahead of him. Thank God for some close family and wonderful friends. No one should ever have to go through such things alone; how sweet it is to have a safety net close to home. Lou is retired now but in his community he’s the man! People tend to turn to him for anything they can. Don’t get it twisted it’s not about taking advantage. It’s about love and kindness; try and understand it. Lou’s character has always been about helping those who struggle deep inside. Being a listening ear when one is not sure how to cope with this thing called life. For all he’s done for others; his community came through for him. He’s quite proud of Cade. For him he would do anything. All he wants for him now is to open his heart to love. No one should do life alone; he deserves blessings from above! There’s one more character to introduce that I have in mind; want to know her name? Come back next time.

A fine write GS. I know who it is for next time - KP! lol.
Grandpa Lou is an extraordinary man in his community for sure. I can almost imagine the sorrow Cade's Mom went through knowing that she would be leaving her Son without his Mom. But fortunately, Cade had his Grandpa to step up to the plate and raise him. I'm certain Cade will grow up to be a fine young man with his Grandpa's influence. And I'm looking forward to reading of your next character.
