Time Flies

Ladywithaquill

See those ripples on the lake,

Flittering like butterflies.

Now a cool breeze flows, breathe,

Wonder how fast time flies.

From here, we watched the sunset,

Two years ago, fiery skies.

But today, the sky is dark and grey,

Wonder why love dies?

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this on a sunny spring day after a walk around a lake. I saw this poem going to very happy places but then it just turned course. As always, appreciate any feedback.
