Stranger

Your_dreams

You say you love me, I say I know

You say you miss me, I know, I know

You want us to go back to how we were before

But sometimes you can’t open a closed door

Cuz your insecurities tainted your love

I tried to make it better, no matter how hard you shoved

Yet you shredded whatever was left of us

Now you’re just a stranger I no longer trust...

  • Comment from author about the poem: Ever had a toxic love? Not necessarily romantic... it could be for a friend or family member. This is for all those who’ve had to rip their hearts apart to choose peace. Like me...😭💔
