death is for tomorrow

shadowbones

As if we didn't know

The road we take feels so low

Selling another pill

Why you think we feel

Herded into turmoil

Rising cost of oil

Walking around a town

More than solid ground

Set them free inside a cage

Divide them by age

Pick out the weak

Things are looking bleak

Stop to legalize it all

No brakes straight through the wall

Thinking it's all okay

What a waste of space

Grinding to another day

Searching for a happy place

Somewhere lost in time

Shut down and fall in line

Sometimes you make me real

I think we're moving together

Usually not the same

We just loath on without showing pain

See a dog on the streets

What a poor animal

See a man in shambles and cold

We turn our hearts to stone

He doesn't live at the same level

We can't see through ourselves

The destruction

Scum filled streets

Finding needles by the curbs

As I'm cleaning up the city

A hero in the midst of it all

I want you to be strong

Live your life like it's not tomorrow

I wish we were stronger

Could stand up tall

Be proud of what you are without shame

The best thing about being yourself

You are trapped, can't fully love anyone else
