The Angry Society

Katy_20

The angry society boils and seethes

With voices raised in bitter protest

Eyes aflame with passion and discontent

A chorus of anger echoing through the streets

Frustration simmers beneath the surface

A pot ready to boil over with rage

Injustice fuels the flames of discontent

A society at war with itself

Words become weapons, cutting through the air

Hate and fear intertwine, poisoning the soul

Each heart a battleground, scarred and weary

The angry society lashing out in pain

But amidst the chaos, a flicker of hope

A call for unity, a plea for peace

A chance to heal the wounds of division

And mend the frayed fabric of society

So let us rise above the anger and hate

Embrace compassion and understanding

For in the heart of the angry society

Lies the potential for a brighter tomorrow

Not a short story at all - It's a smart piece of poetry which engages with the real world out there.
