Searching

ErnieDawg

Another day floats gently into the past

And I age gratefully into the dusk

I reflect upon the events and the times that have been

And I wonder where this bird will land

A teakettle throws steam as another dawn approaches

Somewhere love is searching for me

A leave breaks from it's branch and soars slowly away

Winter is heading in and soon the branch will bud anew

Sometime soon the days will grow long instead of dark

Somewhere love is searching for you

A bubble appears in the ocean soon followed by a few

New ground breaks on the horizon an island in the making

New events and new times they are coming

Somewhere love is searching for us
