Grandpa Lou knows he can do this job alone. He calls Cade anyway in hopes that he’s home. He may be old but he’s still got tricks up his sleeve! Calia would be a good woman for Cade; she’s just what he needs. “Grandpa how’s it going?” “Is everything okay?” “Yes and no son, I was hoping you would come along with me?” “I need to help this young lady.” “Her kitchen sink seems to have sprung a leak.” “I know her well son and if I don’t get there soon she’ll fix it herself.” “That’s the last thing we need.” Cade was only eating dinner with his dog Rufus. “Sure grandpa I’ll help you with this.” Cade heads out the door and tells the dog he’ll see him soon. He heads right up the road to grandpa Lou. See; the thing about small towns; families stay together; for good and bad times. Their love is strong no matter the weather. Grandpa Lou and Cade head straight to Calia’s home. Surprisingly she lives on the other side of town but on the same road. They step out of the truck and Cade takes a minute to catch his breath. The sight of Calia has him feeling speechless. “Grandpa Lou!” “Thank you for coming on such short notice.” “Hello there;” “She says to Cade. “Who’s this?” “Oh; well this here Calia is my grandson Cade;” “I brought him along with me to help.” “I hope that’s okay?” “Well Cade it’s certainly nice to meet you!” Cade just smiles and says; “same to you.” Cade can’t keep his eyes off of her. Her eyes so bright! He does his best to maintain his composure. “Calia are you new in town?” “I’ve never seen you before.” “No I’ve lived here all my life.” “Maybe you’ve heard of Mom and Pop’s cafe?” “Grandpa Lou here always comes in after four.” Cade knows of the place but has never been inside. What’s next for these two? Guess you’ll have to wait until next time!

Dunno what's next for KP and I, but I'm sure it'll be something ghastly - again! lol.
Glad C and C seems to be having happier times.
Sometimes love comes along when least expected. I still say this is a novel in the making GenXer. 😁👍
