Venom

Your_dreams

Long ago there was a girl who’d do anything to fit in

She’d be what people wanted her to be so affection she could win

Naive enough to think that, life was rainbows and sunshine

That no matter what happened she’d always be fine

She cared what people thought of her and strived to be the best

But she was just a butterfly in a birds’ nest

One by one they tore her wings so she could fly no more

Places so many shackles on her that life became a chore

Then one day she woke up with nothing left to lose

So done with relying on people that she lit up the fuse

Time passed and surely the venom started to spread

Till that night she looked in the mirror and found me instead
