To the boy my heart belongs to...

Chrismarrie Hazel Maritz

I try not to love you, but it’s not easy,
Every bit of my soul aches for you, believe me.
I want to spend every day by your side,
But how do I tell you, how do I confide?

True love is rare, but I found it in you,
Yet expressing it seems like a mountain to move through.
I wish I could show you the depth of my love,
But words fail me, they’re just not enough.

If we ever find each other in this vast world so wide,
Let’s keep it between us, away from the world outside.
For the world has a way of breaking lovely things apart,
I wish you knew how you’ve captured my heart.

Though I may not always express it clear and true,
Know that my feelings for you are deep and grew.
I fear losing you again, that’s why I hesitate,
But thoughts of you linger, they never abate.

Even in my dreams, it’s your face I see,
You’ve stolen my heart completely, can’t you see?
So here’s my silent plea to you,
Let’s cherish this love quietly until our days are done.
