I'm a wanderer

Orions pen

I'm a wanderer, a nomad
Never finding a place to rest
My only company is my notepad
That's where my thoughts are put to the test

I tend to think, and nothing more
If I go beyond I lose my sanity
My thoughts rattle me until I'm sore
Only then can I return to normality

I'm a traveller, an explorer
Yet to find something new
So how can I claim that title
If I'm not leaving anytime soon

This plane of ambience I roam
An amalgamation of noise and peace
Ever shifting and shaping its biome
Just to rip me piece by piece

I'm a lingerer, a shadow
A lurker of the night
My silence keeps me covered
But my darkness can't stand the light

Now I switch because it feels right
Awaiting my return to the abyss
Even if its just a few minutes in the light
Those are long awaited few minutes of bliss

I'm a wanderer, a nomad
Who's accepted that they live on the border
Ever shifting, yet to settle
Awaiting an existence with order
