Each day goes by
Constantly filled up with guilt
If not guilt then despair
Hope is running low
Can’t trust anyone
Without getting judged
Being empathetic is uncommon these days
No one can physically nor mentally
Put themselves in your shoes
If they try to
It’s purely for their benefit only
It’s only when someone makes a mistake
They don’t judge but beg for pity
That’s why you don’t judge
Without knowing the full story
If you judge recklessly
Your a hypocrite
I know now that from experience
Being young and youthful
Come with many pros and cons
Pros being uneducated and clueless
Cons being uneducated and clueless also
When your uneducated and clueless
Your mouth started running
Like a water tap
It just keeps flowing and takes its time
TO reach to the bottom of the drain
Comparing the water tap with our mouths
The words that come out
Takes its time to reach someone's head
But once it does reach
It doesn’t stop
It doesn’t stop flowing
When the words keep flowing in someones head
It drives them to the edge
It makes them feel crazy
It makes them overthink and overthink daily
Until it feels as if its turned into a chore
Day and night
Hour to hour
Overthinking

- Comment from author about the poem: How can we judge if we haven’t been inside of their shoes? We’re quick to judge that we don’t see the “why” behind the narrative. Sympathy is good but people forget empathy. There’s a major difference to feeling sorry for someone compared to trying to understand someone's feelings. To be empathetic is a powerful tool. It helps people to understand one's fault and the reason why they are at fault. The reason they are what they are. People in this generation judge too much. As if it has no effect on the person their judgment is aimed at. “Action speaks louder than words” it’s true it does. But “Words hurt more than actions”. You can be insulted and hit at the same time. The pain from the hit will only last a couple seconds but the insult, those words will stick around in your head. This is what makes people what they are. It turns them into what they say, would never intend to be.
