Searching for Inspiration

She sat alone searching for inspiration

 

what words may come

 

will memories lend themselves to imagination

 

what lyrics will step forth

 

will the day’s work come to a sufficient end

 

or will creativity fail to lend

 

a helping hand to a poet’s plight

 

while the words they dance, and the flames ignite.
