SUNLIGHT THROUGH THE CURTAINS

nephilim56

They have tethered my soul
In a place free of angels
Bloodied knuckles clenched tight
No one to fight.

Beyond reach of all echoes
Back to the wall
Mouth dry and teeth clenched
Hear my call.

Life, you bastard
What more can you take ?
Your lizard like tongue
Your skin of the snake.

Heavens I had dreamed
In a more calmer place
Now rushing freight trains
My sanity to take.
