Standing On The Corner

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

No, I don't wanna,
Would never be a drug dealer,
Standing on the corner,
Sending addicts to a coroner.
Most have no conscience,
Some interactions leave me tense,
Morals of Steve Rogers or Clark Kent's?
But these are just characters from comics.
Striving to be perfect but I'm not there yet,
Demons made God my safety net,
Tell myself to remain calm and never fret,
Jesus died for our sins with no regret.

    Good write S.
I'm standing on a soap box. is that the same as standing on a corner? lol.

Not sure haha, I've added another line and felt near the end it needed to be longer.

Truth is, from my experience, drug dealers are also victims, like all of us. Just more obvious.
