Darkness's Waltz

silro

When darkness falls.

I hear its melody.

The sound echoes in these walls.

Finally, clarity.

Struggles of the day.

I pay no mind.

For they have gone away.

Poof! All left behind.

Alas, my loneliness speaks.

Because quiet it cannot be.

The sourness of my self-critiques.

Gives way to a silent plea.

The wind tries to aid.

What my mind has conjured up.

Welcome to my masquerade,

Here’s your cup.

Take a seat.

The party’s just started.

Hear my heartbeat.

Sanity has parted.

This sea of darkness.

Whispers many restless thoughts.

No hums of calmness.

Just dance the darkness’s waltz.
