Heal

gray0328

Take a day off—call it sick,

From lies self-spun and others' slick.

Let truth's quiet seed in silence grow,

While falsehoods around cease their flow.

Unwind the yarns, strands of deceit,

Rest your weary mind in retreat.

Let each untruth fall away, a silent shed,

As you mend the stitchings of your head.

In the hum of the absent crowd,

Listen to your thoughts, once disallowed.

Speak to yourself in a voice so hushed,

Discover stories within, untold, unbrushed.

By evening's dim, in honesty's soft bed,

Feel the balm on wounds misled.

Awake to dawn with truths you own,

Lies unmade, and your spirit grown.
