A RAINDROP'S VOYAGE

Bhumi Sethi

From the embrace of a cloud so high,

A single raindrop bids to say goodbye.

It begins its descent, a silent fall,

a journey so brave, yet so small

Through the air it twirls, a graceful dive,

A dance with the wind, feeling alive.

Past birds that soar and leaves that sway,

It continues on its destined way.

It kisses the leaf, a touch so light,

A moment fleeting, pure delight.

Then to a stream, it joins the flow,

A part of something greater now, it knows.

Through rivers wide and oceans deep,

Over pebbles and corals, a leap.

It nourishes the earth, a gift so kind,

A journey of life, with purpose entwined.

Until it rises once again, a vapor's flight,

Back to the clouds, into the light.

The cycle of a raindrop, a story told,

A drop in the ocean, a part of the whole.
