eternal dilenma

Nicholas12

"O what a sick and twisted curse love is, as I long for it. The burning desire to partake in this unfair game, to be afflicted with the same curse as everyone else; the same hurt, the same happiness. O, as those stung by Cupid's bow, like a donkey being led on by a carrot, I find myself chasing an object just beyond my grasp. This object of my fascination, will I ever hold you? O, to grasp onto this feeling, one must prepare to be shackled. Like a slave, I have been captured; like Stockholm, I will not let go. O, my freedom no longer belongs to me; a dullard, a fool, I am so many things, and finally, in love. O, such a one-sided transaction. I have given my love to a star; no matter how much I yearn for her heart, it will never be mine. Till death do us part? NAY, till death do me part.

O, what is love? A poison I take with a smile as it burns and churns my insides. This pain I may feel will never be close to the thought of an eternal life without your heart. O, what a dilemma! A poison you are, a poison I willingly take as though the finest of wine from Dionysus' personal collection. A chain you are to me as I bound myself with it in hopes that you hold the other end and I blindly follow with devoid of heed for my own well-being. A sickly connection this is, but I shall embrace it like a thorn in my foot; but instead of taking it out, I push it in further. This is love, as I succumb to the poison, from the thorn I feel naught but pleasure for love’s elixir is bitter, yet strangely bright. In its twisted embrace, I find solace and despair, for love’s shackles bind me in a dance beyond compare."
