Please
Grasp my hand firmly
Lead me on to the dance floor
They're playing Brahms Waltz in A Major
Please
Before the first tear falls
My legs may be wobbly
But with your strength
Let me be swept away
By the music and the movement
Twirl me that all the unpleasant unhappy thoughts
In my head shall be centrifugally
Spun out of my brain
Only then will I find my center of gravity
My equilibrium restored
And when the music stops
I will be able to go on
Until the next time….

So very special, may your mojo always be right next to you my dear Bella. 💜
Thank you my dearest Teddy. These days come and go, and we do find our way back with the help of those who are precious to us. Hopefully we're there for them as well, it's a wonderful reciprocity.
Beautiful Brahms!
It is in the dance. If only I could dance on forever (or just for a short time!). It cleans the mind out, Bella….. But I don’t have to tell you this because it’s all in your poem, oh so well expressed.
Let us dance on forever, and leave the world behind my friend, if only for a while, you express it so beautifully. Thank God for Brahms, and for such good friends.
Thanks Bella. Missed you - still, I did warn you...Gratifying when someone takes my advice for a change...😊
Good advice!
I'm not much of a dancer, and I don't know Brahms, but I do know what you mean here in your beautiful poem Bella. 🌹
Thank you so much my friend! We all find our way to put the world behind us for a while, and it's very special. Take good care!
If only I lived a bit nearer, you bet I would twirl you and just as you ask ..
until the next time, just know that I'm but a holla away .. Neville 🤍
Thank you my dear, so sweet of you. Take good care and keep you dancin' shoes at the ready.
I love waltzes preferring a fast Viennese waltz where the whirling becomes almost maniacal and one is lost in the rhythm and swirl. This plea for a dance makes my feet start to move and my body twirl. But then a slow waltz like this is so romantic and somehow lifts even tired legs effortlessly. Beautiful Bella or should I say Bella beautiful?
Thank you so much my kind friend, there's nothing like a Viennese waltz. I still have a viynl of Strauss Waltz's that I listened to in high school. There's something about this piece though that touches a sweet spot in my brain, and makes the world go away. Twirling or spinning releases such feel-good hormones in our brains, what's not to love. I loved to watch Ballroom Dance Competitions on TV, especially the waltz, it was heaven to see those couples twirling, light as air. Happy feet my friend!
An appealing lovely dancing poem, a bouncy waltzing read itself. Kudos!
Plz also read and comment my newest poem too.
