How In My Absence Spoils What Cannot Be

aDarkerMind

too lost as thinking man these arms that seed

a hunger lost my fellow man complete

breeding stars forgotten time as all

where no sea runs the seconds of defeat

a longing from complex to felling bone

how in my absence spoils what cannot be

one mouth of sound. a promise from the groin

no spoils now ash sends fever to the coyne

this trail of waste more distant than we are

this age where ages sorrow ever cursed

all seasons of a secret heart's lament

how many years a moon of sparrow's sent?

too soon the fingers tapped the marble dry

a city of asylums for the anger of a sky

where no man rusts. no man will walk upon

a longing for complete to stray beyond

I have heard the voice

that walks a midnight vein

no spoils now ash

sends fever to the brain;

    I feel such a desperate longing within these words, absolutely stunning, I always feel I've read these before, maybe you are reposting or maybe we are just floating in the world crossing paths spun from words. Either way dear Melvin your poetry is top class dear friend. 🌹

      thank you Teddy;

      crossing paths as we do, yes.

      and perhaps I am starting to repeat myself.

      time for a mood change of thought;
