YOU HAD ME WISHING

Oluwasolape Akode

You brought me flowers and handwritten notes,
You massaged my feet when the illness afloats,
You read my favorite authors as my heart floats,
You brought me my coffee as the day bloats,
You knew the right words, no anecdotes,
You ran beside me through street rowboats,
You had me wishing for love's antidotes,
For you're already taken by the loveliest, in love's boat.

.

U Had Me Wishing.
Loving, U Had Me Wishing.
Wanting & Needing, U Had Me Wishing.
Something N My Heart, Flirting & Trying. U Had Me Wishing.
Ending The Eternal Loneliness, U Had Me Wishing.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about a perfect man that a woman can not have since he is married. So, she is left wishing for him. Note that it is not necessary that the lines in your stanza rhymes, the number of lines in your stanza also depends on you, each line should end with a comma while the last line would have a fullstop.
