My Reason Why

geordinthepoet

To feel the swift breeze in the wind and to hear its whistle, to hear the birds singing their lovely songs, due to the trees bark being the same color as my skin, because of the leaf vine being stable as my spine and for another day to claim unconditional love as mine, to see old leaves hit the ground from their trees, then to see them being reborn reminding me of pure, new blessings

because of the sun disappearing, just to travel back around to me, due to the stars glistening in the night sky, to the goodbyes making our next reunion a happier surprise, due to my stutter when my dopamine levels run high, due to sitting in silence and it being worthwhile and because of the laughter in the background, due to the night time nature sound, to see the strangers dog saliva drip from it's open smile

today I lived life to its fullest but cheers to tomorrow for if it may, I'll strive to be better then I've been today, to witness life's thunder roar then to see the rain wash it all away, to see the flowers bloom in the spring, to drink a glass of water on a hot summer day, due to the wisdom received from a new book and because of that new poem I need to write, to remind that person who needs a shoulder to cry on, that everything will be alright, to hear Gods soothing voice in the middle of the night

is the reason as to why I belong, for why I choose to take in life's different instruments that create my beautiful song life is an adventure ride filled with laughers and cries, violins and violas, guitars and drum sets and I have the chance to hear them all play before tonight's sunset, because who knows where I'll be, life is wild so I'll ride it freely, I wake up every morning thanking God for another day because how honored I am to hear all of life's different instruments play
