Timed Light

Introverted Sage

Tell me it's me.
Whispered wind songs
Fated history.
Melted forms
Fade to be.
Will I ever be free.
From this landlocked mystery.

I'll grow my tree.
Branch by branch
Leaf by Leaf.
Moment by moment
With seconds to breathe.
So that I may see.

Turning back to look down that hill.
Face smacked with the totality of the bill
Of what's been placed upon me.

Layers upon layers
Brick by brick.
Same tune on that old record player
Laid it on thick.
Really makes me sick.

Hurt then return the favour.
Darkness coming in more than 31 flavours.
Bred misery becoming
Something that's savoured.
And then remark on my behaviour?
Like your words are that
Of some so called saviour.
Realizing what we were all made for.

Horrors and doubt.
Clouded vision
So you won't find out.
What it's really all been about.

Waves and rains.
Earthquakes and hurricanes.
Line up to receive your ticket
If you just came here for fame.
Feeling rather lame.
When they try to mold us to be the same.

One right after the other
No longer the keeper of our brothers.
Continuing on like this
Only gets us further.
From who we were meant to be.

I'll be your shining feather.
I'll be your golden star.
Look into your deepest valley
Beautiful as you are.
Didn't have to go far.
