But He Loved Her Right

Meera Mere

He brings her flowers of her favorite kind,
Their colors whispering the dreams he holds inside.

He dreams of her each night,
In shadows where she dances out of sight.

He whispers her stories to the silent moon,
Seeking solace in its gentle, knowing tune.

He reaches out when she stumbles and falls,
Though she seems deaf to his silent calls.

He loves her with a love so right,
Yet she remains blind to his heartfelt plight.

There can be no doubt (from personal experience) that throughout life & love there is not always the awareness, the chemistry, or inclination to reciprocate affections .. but then, sometimes love is blind .. I enjoyed your poem today Meera .. Take Care, Neville
